Colton is a Trinity County, Texas native

who was admitted to the Texas Bar in

2017. Colton attended Sam Houston

State University, where he received his

Bachelor of Arts degree in 2014. Colton

then attended St. Mary’s School of Law

in San Antonio, Texas in 2017, where he

received his Doctor of Jurisprudence

degree.

In 2021, Colton was elected as the

Trinity County Attorney. Early into his

first term Colton saw that the citizens of

Trinity County were in need of legal

services with regard to Estate Planning,

Probate, Wills, and Real Estate. His goal

was to help All of those in need of legal

services, but especially the Citizens of

Trinity County. Therefore, Colton

decided to carry on the tradition of the

previous County Attorney, and founded

The Hay Law Firm.
